Simpson Opticians are able to provide free NHS eye tests or examinations from our practices in Larkhall & East Kilbride, Lanarkshire. We are also pleased to offer home visit eye tests to our customers.
Since April 2006, everyone in Scotland is entitled to a Free NHS Eye Test or Eye Examination.
The recommended time between eye tests is once a year for:

Over 60’s |
|
Diabetics |
|
People with Glaucoma or considered at risk of Glaucoma |
Otherwise, it is every two years, unless you have a problem requiring a consultation with the Optometrist, such as:

Blur |
|
Sore Eyes |
|
Red Eyes |
|
Any concern about your Vision |
You should not only come for an eye test or examination when you want new spectacles, but make it part of your regular preventative medical check ups.
